HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

Hi everyone! I hope everyone has had a great week! Also, happy late Memorial Day!

SICK DAYS

I was sick last week, so I couldn’t really focus on my writing or my blog! To make matters worse, I accidentally got my own daughter sick. Whoops! However, now we are both feeling much better!

MY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

this memorial day weekend was really fun for me. I normally dont do anything besides work or stay home on this day. However this year, my husband, daughter and I went to the lake! He went fishing, my daughter played with rocks and the mud and i got to do some very peaceful reading with a lovely view.

Afterwards, we went to hang out and have a pinic with our family! We ate lots of potato salad, lemonade and of cpurse, sloppy joes.

It was around the time we were leaving to go home did i realize that i was burnt to a crisp. While my husband got a very sexy farmers tan, I ended up looking like the red lobsters from The Amanda Show.

even as I write this, my shoulders and chest are burnt and are pretty achey. Good thing for aloe vera lotion. Regardless of my burns, we had a very fun weekend!

PEACH ROSES UPDATE

To start things off, I have been working a bit more on world-building with Peach Roses! Since this takes place in a fantasy world, I am still at work with a worksheet I use to help build fantasy worlds. It's complete now and gives me a better structure in mind of what I want in their world.

Draft 2 is coming along nicely. Though I am nowhere near calling a third of the final draft, I am proud of how far it's coming along. I can’t wait to give you a blurb of what it is about.

I will also be hard at work creating an official book cover for it. As some of you have realized, I have already created a book cover for Grave Play. While I have an idea of what I want my book cover to be, I will be taking my time in creating it.

FAIRIES OF DESIRE

Next, I want to talk about the second season of Fairies for Desire. I am happy to announce that I have already created the first several chapters of the second part of the series. This is also the beginning of a story bible.

However, this is as far as I am going to work on it for the time being. I like to think this is a good head start and gives me something to work with when I begin to work on it next year.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Next, let’s talk about my socials. My Facebook and TikTok have been getting a lot of views and support lately. For this, I am grateful. It's finally nice to be seen by other indie authors, book fans, and friends. I hope to see your support through my journeys.

GRAVEPLAY UPDATE

Finally, Draft 2 of Grave Play is well underway now. If you have been keeping up with the projects tab, then you’ll notice we've been making big changes to the characters! I am happier with the characters and their storylines more than ever. I have a better feeling of the storyline as well.

OTHER NEWS

Also, I’m very close to getting my master’s in creative writing! I’m very proud of this and also stressed because of the level of difficulty my classes have cranked up. With me juggling motherhood, a job, and school, there may be a chance I might take some time off to focus on finishing. Even if that means delaying the expected release date of Grave Play AND Peach Roses. I’ll be giving this more thought.
