HAPPY LATE MOTHER'S DAY!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day weekend! I know I certainly enjoyed mine.

My husband took me to the local greenhouse in our town, and I got to pick out flowers for my new little garden. It was so nice seeing all the beautiful, bright flowers and plants. Afterward, we brought a few home and planted them outside on our porch.

Later, we went to our local bar, which I hadn’t been to yet, and hung out there for a while. They had a pool table, so my husband and I decided to try it out.

Now, my husband has some experience playing pool.

Me, on the other hand?

Absolutely not.

The only time I had ever played pool was on some mobile game that came out about a decade ago. I tried it, hated it, and was honestly terrible at it. I ended up deleting the game pretty quickly.

So, as you can imagine, if I was bad at pool in the game, I was even worse in real life. At that point, I might as well have been playing tennis or baseball.

And yet, by the pity of the gods, I somehow won.

NEW TITLE FOR PROJECT 4

I have some news about Project 4!

If you’ve been checking out my Projects tab, you may have noticed that I’ve been working on it a bit this month. I’ve felt like I neglected it during the past month, so I’ve been making an effort to keep up with it and make sure I don’t fall too far behind.

During this process, I finally decided on a name for Project 4. After taking some time to consider different options, I’ve decided to officially title the story Peach Roses.

The blurb and full plotline for Peach Roses are still being developed, so unfortunately, the official title is all I can share for now. However, I do hope you like the title!

PROGRESS ON PEACH ROSES

Along with making progress on Project 4, my current class also focuses on fiction and fantasy writing. Since Peach Roses falls into that category, the worksheets from this class have been helping me shape the plot, strengthen the characters’ goals, and make the characters feel more rounded and developed.

Right now, I’ve been working on a worksheet that focuses on building the world of Peach Roses. This includes things like laws, traditions, history, wars, and more. It also helps with character development, including the goals of both the protagonists and antagonists, as well as their pasts, personal beliefs, and upbringings.

It’s a very long and detailed worksheet provided by my university, but it has been incredibly helpful. It was designed to help with worldbuilding, and it’s something I can return to whenever I need to build a new world for one of my stories.
